Summary
Plans, develops and implements performance improvement activities consistent with organizational and departmental goals and objectives. Evaluates department performance in terms of customer satisfaction, program attendance/completion rates and outcome measures that are based on appropriate benchmarks. Opportunities for improvement are identified and based upon data collected and analyzed and data and planning communicated with staff.
Effectively and efficiently uses workforce, material and financial resources in accordance with hospital policies and within established budget constraints. Evokes in staff a sense of ownership and responsibility for, their work, their coworkers, and continuous improvements of their performance. Participates in, or chairs committees, work groups, and meetings deemed necessary to achieve administrative goals and demonstrate measurable results and meet target dates.
Directs the design and administration of co-worker compensation and benefit program. Directs and monitors the administration of the employee relations process. Maintains job descriptions and performance management. Directs and monitors the process for Occupational Health and Workers Comp.
Facilitates the development of a learning culture within the organization to support change and continuous improvement. Applies knowledge of regulatory and legal requirement to planning and decision-making regarding educational activities. Educational design includes overall service/program/activity goal, specific learning objectives, content and methods of evaluation.
Assists in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of cost-reducing programs while maintaining high quality service. The development of policies and procedures are facilitated with consideration towards professional standards, goals, and regulatory requirements. Plans, prepares and implements departmental operating and capital budgets. Coordinates special projects and assists in program development as indicated/directed by V.P.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree required
* HR certification
* Significant work experience in the healthcare industry
