Clinical Pharmacist
Summary
Duties:
Under the general direction of the Manager of Inpatient Pharmacy Programs, provides pharmaceutical care according to standards established by the Department of Clinical Pharmacy to all patients. Documents the care provided to patients.
Participates in policy-development committees as assigned (both intra-departmental and interdisciplinary committees). Serves as preceptor to pharmacy students and residents as assigned. Participates in the development of institution-wide drug use policy.
Responsible for ensuring safe and efficient drug distribution and control system. Participates in supervision of technical staff.
Maintains open communications and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation.
Requirements:
- Doctorate in Pharmacy à Required.
- Prior involvement in undergraduate and post-graduate pharmacy education à Preferred.
- Professional License with State of Practice à Required.
- 1-2 years of clinical pharmacy experience à Preferred.
- Completion of post-graduate residency in clinical pharmacy practice à Preferred.
