Summary
Duties:
Under the direction of the licensed staff member, the Patient Care Technician gives routine, non – licensed, technical bedside care as a member of the Nursing Team. Staff may receive, secure and transport medications as necessary.
Requirements:
A high school diploma is required. Patient Care Technician (PCT) Certificate or Nursing Student who has completed fundamentals of nursing, or Patient Care Technician with two years validated experience as documented by job description provided by previous employer. Patient Care Technician, Patient Care Technician with two years verified experience or Nursing Student who has completed fundamentals of nursing. 2-3 years experience as an PCT is also required. Preferred PCT Certificate.
