Summary
Duties
Under the general supervision of the Team Leader, Plant Operations, plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls the activities of the Paint Shop to provide services, repairs and maintenance necessary to ensure a safe and pleasant atmosphere for patients, visitors, physicians and staff. Assures materials used for renovation and construction projects comply with NFPA Codes as relates to smoke/flame spread ratings. Assures compliance with Joint Commission of Hospital Standards, Environment of Care.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma à Preferred. High school graduation or equivalent, preferred. Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple math like percentages, ratios, etc.
- 5-7 years of Painting experience à Required. Must have 5 years experience as a painter, wallpaper/vinyl hanger with two years’ service in a supervisory capacity. Must be capable in all phases of painting and wallpaper/vinyl hanging, preparation, sealing, taping and finishing. Must be proficient in the use of tools of the trade.
