Sterile Services Technician II

Summary

Duties:

The Sterile Processing Tech II, under the direct supervision of the Sterile Processing Manager, Supervisor and Lead Tech(s), provides the duties of Sterile Processing. These duties include, but are not limited to, the decontamination of instruments, assembly of trays; the process of sterilizing instruments and items for use by ancillary departments; the preparation of case carts for scheduled and emergency cases; cleaning of the department. The Tech II position is responsible for the training of Tech(s) and Assistants.

Requirements:

A High School Diploma and a Certificate is required. A minimum of 2-3 years experience in Sterile Processing or CST is required. National Certification is required. Additional certification is required before end of first year as Sterile Services Tech II. To include one of the following: CIS, CER, CHL, CSIS, CFER, CSPM, CASSPT
