Summary
Under the direction of the Physician Office Practice Manager and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, the Customer Service Scheduling Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of support duties requiring a comprehensive understanding of all scheduling procedures as well as medical knowledge sufficient to support the practice. The Customer Service Scheduling Specialist will practice excellent phone etiquette and maintain open communication with all providers and staff in the assigned practice. Ensures accurate scheduling, re-scheduling and cancellations of all patient appointments for assigned providers. Must be able to create new patient profiles and update current patient demographics. Follows directions closely and works well with team to meet providers needs and scheduling preferences. Completes daily reports with notes on unusual circumstances or calls and turns in promptly for manager to review or act on as needed. Understand the importance of the role, the accuracy needed and of being a representative and voice of St. Joseph's/Candler Medical Group.
Requirements
High school diploma - Preferred
1 to 2 years' administrative and/or call center experience - Required
1 to 2 years' healthcare enviroment or physician practice office experience - Preferred
