The Oncology Medical Office Assistant (OMOA) will perform clinical triage tasks appropriate to certification, including but not limited to taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and verifying/updating medication lists and allergies at each visit. Will provide additional provider support as required.

Core Job Functions
- Performs assessment and comprehensive review of history on new patients and established patients. Measures and documents vitals signs. Performs medicine reconciliation.
- Participate in clinical setting, assisting in patient care process, assist provider in select in office procedures and procedural preparation, prepare exam rooms, manage referrals, assist in clinical correspondence, assist with coordination of physician orders and standing orders and protocols.
- Provide administrative support to medical staff, to include but not limited to preparation of correspondence, completion of document requests as needed, and scanning of documents per protocol and timelines set within the department.
- Manage provider based authorizations by coordinating with the insurance representative and acquiring the pre-authorization according to protocol. Maintain accurate electronic documentation in support of the authorization services processes.
- Follow the provider orders for blood draws, urinalysis, and other CLIA waived tests. Prepare labs for courier pick up. Ensure test tubes, specimens labeled accurately.

Inventory and stock each exam room and the storage room. Make list for ordering supplies.
