Primary care practitioner in a free clinic serving the uninsured and low income populations. Duties include patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, completing orders & follow up, patient education, prescriptions. Initiate referrals to, and with, specialty care physicians. Member of an Interprofessional team sharing knowledge and decision making.

Core Job Functions

Provider Substitute: Provide primary medical care for patients when their Assigned Provider has planned away time (vacations, conferences). Or, a work in of a patient could occur when patient’s provider does not have openings for an appointment.

Maven Project Liaison to ensure other providers of the two clinics are connecting by Zoom with specialists, utilizing the CME credits and Mentorship opportunity. Helping to set up group learnings and review the monthly statistics of use.

Quality Improvement projects are initiated, implemented and completed with evaluative review.

Liaison with Medical College of Georgia leadership/students interested in research. Discuss research projects that would benefit both the student and the clinics. Be a guide to assist in setting up, implementing, evaluating, and presenting the research.

Super User for EMR and Meditech Expanse. Keep up to date with IS training so that providers at the clinics can be trained and have their questions answered. Special additions to clinic technology functions will be completed (ex. CDSS) and taught.
