Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Under the general supervision of the Team Leader Plant Operations, performs repairs, remodeling and construction projects in such a manner that insures the safe and functional integrity of the facility, and to conform with NFPA, National Building Code and local community and governmental agencies. Assures compliance with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital Standards, giving specific attention to the Environment of Care.

    • High School Diploma - Preferred
  • Experience
    • 2 - 3 Years Carpentry - Preferred
  • License & Certification
    • None Required
  • Core Job Functions
    • Performs work as assigned by team leader, keeps team leader informed of any unresolved issues. Assignments are completed per established schedule/deadlines.
    • Sound judgment used in selecting proper anchors for the type of wall and items are safely hung.
    • Materials/supplies are used properly in relation to usage and compatibility.
    • Coordinates closely with other crafts, repairs are performed on walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinetry and grounds equipment. Forms, pours, finishes minor concrete projects accurately and performs temporary roof repairs efficient.
    • New doors are accurately installed and maintained in proper operating condition throughout facility. Preventative maintenance is performed on all fire doors according to established schedule. Hinges and closures throughout the facility are maintained In good working order.
