Scrub Technician provides patient care under the direct supervision of the O.R. Staff Nurse through scrubbing surgical cases. Assist the Nurse with circulating duties to include: helping to obtain the appropriate supplies, instruments, and equipment for the surgical procedure.

Core Job Functions
- Seeks and maintains National certification after one year of employment and or eligibility requirements met for specific certification.
- Educates and implements AORN standards. Educates and implements environmental standards.
- Follows established processes for achievement of tasks. Keep team leader/management team informed of tasks not completed or challenges in assignments.
- Correct procedure card for supplies and instruments is identified and used. Sufficient quantities of supplies and instruments are pulled for each procedure. Case carts are completed accurately and promptly.
- Light sources, instruments and accessory equipment are consistently checked for proper functioning.
