Operations Support Specialist

Duties:

The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for greeting patients, processing all necessary paperwork for patient registration including but not limited to verifying medical necessity using Iatrics, obtaining orders, obtaining signature's for ABN's when needed, and dropping orders in the appropriate modality. The Operations Support Specialist will may perform time of service (TOS) collections, which may include self-pay deposits, co-insurance and deductible amounts and other associated duties. The OSS will process exams, distribute reports when necessary, schedule appointments as needed and provide other clerical duties necessary to maintain the office. The OSS maintains open communications with all customers and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation. The OSS will also answers phone calls, fax reports, and perform other clerical duties to maintain the office. The OSS uses and is proficient with the Meditech Computer System and the PACS system to effectively insure that patient information is processed safely in a timer manner. OSS will provide and distribute patient's CD's for the purpose of providing continuum of care to the appropriate healthcare provider. The OSS is on the main supportive components for driving communication throughout the Imaging Service process. 

Requirements:

• High School Diploma à Preferred.
• 1 year of experience à Required.
