Summary
Duties:
Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting sports medicine physician in ambulatory bone/muscle/joint clinic. Majority of work will be within medical practice setting. Role will provide patient care and education within scope of AT, including but not limited to: developing and sharing home exercise/strengthening programs with patients, referral and order entry, patient call backs, triage, rooming, patient history, initial assessments, clinical documentation, clerical tasks, DME coordination, casting/splinting/brace fittings, pre-visit planning, testing and referral coordination, clinical inventory management, injury prevention education, scheduling appointments, participating in injury care/screenings/presentations at special events/schools as directed, and other duties assigned by management and physician to assist in throughput of patients.
Requirements:
- GA Licensed Athletic Trainer or eligible à Required.
- 1 year of experience à Required. Must be able to travel with athletic teams to be available at sporting events.
