Summary
Position Summary
It is the Manager of Payment Verification's primary responsibility to direct, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of cash applications and denial management. This includes the management of posting both electronic and manual cash payment entries and appropriate contractual adjustments, ensuring that money is in the appropriate "bucket", balancing with the bank on a daily basis, identification of any denial or underpayment that requires appeal and appropriate identification of that on the Meditech System, coordinating the distribution of the denials and any associated reporting needed. The Manager will be an integral part of reviewing current and future managed care contracts and providing input. Additionally, the position is responsible to ensure the department delivers timely, quality services to our patients in accordance with contractual agreements, federal regulations, hospital policies and procedures while upholding professional standards, high levels of customer service, and maintaining open communications. The Manager is available to component departments, organizations, and practitioner sites for consultation.
