Summary

  • Position Summary
    • The Cafeteria Team Leader performs a variety of duties related to the overall operation of the cafeteria.
  • Education
    • High School Diploma - Preferred
  • Experience
    • 1-2 Years Foodservice and/or supervision - Required
  • License & Certification
    • Serve Safe or equivalent - Preferred
  • Core Job Functions
    • Insures that the dining room and service line areas are cleaned and organized before each opening service. Weekly cleaning assignments are established for cleaning all under counter surfaces, breakdown and sanitation of refrigerated and heated areas.
    • Runs cash register as needed. A cash count record and till report are prepared at the end of the shift. Deposits are made in the drop safe and cash bank is properly secured at the end of the shift.
    • Activities are coordinated to insure that all time schedules are met and necessary food and non-food supplies are obtained as needed. Work stations are checked for proper set up and breakdown. Must be able to work any position.
    • Ensures adherence to departmental and health system policies and procedures through co-worker training, performance evaluation and quality monitoring documentation. Coordinates and schedules co-workers to meet service requirements. Communicates attendance and/or behavior issues to appropriate managers/timekeeper.
    • Proper serving temperature are checked and recorded in food log or time temperature control label. Any food that is not at proper serving temperature or quality will be returned to the cooks area for correction.
